The Summer Piast Run is one of the most recognizable running events in Lower Silesia and a true celebration of outdoor activity, held annually at the end of August on the picturesque trails of the Izera Mountains with the start and finish at the Jakuszyce Glade in Szklarska Poręba – Jakuszyce.

The event takes place in an atmosphere of friendship and joy, and the Izera trails, once known for cross-country skiing, offer a relatively easy terrain, considering the mountains – gentle elevations, friendly gravel surfaces, forest paths, and grassy sections are suitable for both amateurs and more demanding runners.

Distances tailored to everyone

Summer Piast Run offers the possibility to choose from several distances, so every participant can find their goal:

• Jakuszycka Dwunastka (12 km)
A picturesque and varied route through the Izera forests and hills – a great option for those who want to try mountain running for the first time, but also for trail running enthusiasts.

• Jakuszycki Half Marathon (22 km)
A half marathon in the heart of the Izera Mountains, with beautiful sections around forests and paths running along the Izera River – an ideal distance for runners who enjoy longer challenges without excessive technical difficulty.

• Jakuszycki Ultramarathon (50 km)
For those seeking a true sporting challenge, there is a 50 km ultramarathon available, running through the most dramatic parts of the Izera Mountains – with views of Wysoki Kamień, Zakręt Śmierci, and Jagnięcy Jar.
