Additionally, for hotel guests, we organize expeditions with our guide, who will not only safely lead you along the trails but also show you perfect photo spots and tell interesting facts about the region.

1. Złoty Widok – the flagship of Szklarska Poręba

Złoty Widok is one of the most famous viewpoints in the region. From an elevation of about 610 meters above sea level, there is a breathtaking panorama of the Karkonosze – from Szrenica through Śnieżne Kotły to Śnieżka. At Złoty Widok, there is a viewing platform where you can sit and admire the mountain panorama.

  • Access from Bergo Hotel: about 50 minutes on foot via the yellow trail or about 10 minutes by car.

  • From the parking lot near the Wlastimil Hofman house, you can start a short walk along the blue or black trail leading to the viewing platform.

  • An ideal spot for sunset.

  • With the hotel guide, you will also learn about the history and legends of this place.

2. Chybotek – the rock with a legend

Chybotek - this glacial erratic rock attracts tourists not only because of its shape but also the views of the Karkonosze. Legend has it that whoever moves the rock will have their dreams fulfilled. Chybotek is a place where you can admire unique rocks. Various hiking trails lead to Chybotek, and while walking them, you can find traces of old legends and historical inscriptions. This place is unique on the map of the Karkonosze and perfect for rest and admiring the panoramas.

  • Route from Bergo Hotel: same as to Złoty Widok, then along the green trail.

  • An expedition with a guide is an opportunity to learn the geological history of the rock and its surroundings.

3. Śnieżne Kotły – the raw beauty of the mountains

Spectacular walls of glacial cirques and extensive views make this one of the most picturesque spots in the Karkonosze. Here, the panorama of the Karkonosze has a rugged, monumental character. The panoramas make the view from this location one of the most recognizable in the region. From Śnieżne Kotły, there is a magnificent view of the Karkonosze peaks, including Łabski Szczyt, Wielki Szyszak, Śnieżka, as well as the Jelenia Góra basin, Rudawy Janowickie, and the Izera Mountains. From here, the view of the Kamienna valley and Śnieżne Kotły is exceptional – numerous peaks and panoramas are visible, including Wysoki Kamień. In the area, there are mountain huts that serve as excellent starting points for trails.

  • Route: from Bergo Hotel along the red trail through Kamieńczyk Waterfall and Szrenicka Meadow, then along the Main Sudeten Trail.

  • Walking time: about 4 hours one way.

  • With a hotel guide, the expedition is safer, especially in variable weather.

4. Szrenica – mountain with panorama of the Karkonosze and Czech lands

Szrenica - from an elevation of 1362 meters above sea level, you will see a full panorama of the Karkonosze and the Czech Karkonosze.

  • Access: red trail via Kamieńczyk Waterfall or a lift ride (the lower station is a 10-minute walk from Bergo Hotel).

  • The hotel guide will advise on the best time to climb to catch the magical light.

5. Wysoki Kamień – view from neighboring mountains

Although Wysoki Kamień is located in the Izera Mountains, it offers an amazing view of the Karkonosze from a different perspective.

  • Route: red trail from the center of Szklarska Poręba (about 1.5 hours one way).

  • You can go there with a hotel guide as part of a shorter sightseeing trip.

Panorama of the Karkonosze – peaks worth knowing

During your trips to the viewpoints, it is also worth heading to the highest peak – Śnieżka (1603 meters above sea level), as well as characteristic formations such as Szrenica, Łabski Szczyt, or Śnieżne Kotły. Thanks to the hotel guide, you will more easily recognize individual places and create your own panorama of the Karkonosze with descriptions.

The Karkonosze and their views are diverse – from wide panoramas to intimate perspectives in forest nooks. It is this diversity that makes the Karkonosze viewpoints so popular.
